Two hook clipped down, one up one down or 2 hook loop rig?!?

Question for ye.....

Ive been sticking with what Im comfortable with for a good while now :D ...a two or three hook clipped down rig for general fishing unless Im fishing for cod or bass at distance and then I'll use a pulley pennel.

Recently Ive become more intrigued to find that alot of lads are using a 2 hook loop rig. Ive at times used a one up one down rig but dont really like them.

Whats the general opinion on all three and I suppose my question is should I move from my comfort zone and start using the 2 hook loop rig or stick with the 2 hook clip down (which Ive caught plenty on) amd what are the advantages of the loop rig compared to the clipped down :?:

If it ain't broke don't fix it is what I say, you've found a rig which you are comfortable with and catches you fish so why not stick with it. Essentially a two hooked loop rig is a one up one down with a longer bottom snood so if you didn't like that you probably won't like the two hooked loop rig either. I occasionally use the loop rig as I believe it keeps the bottom hook tight to the seabed, could be just a notion to me though! Only one way to know for sure and that's to try it out :)

The 2 hook loop is my favorite all round rig. I LIke a 2 hook loop rig because its casts great and the bottom snood can be fished hard on the sea bed for ray and flatties.

if the fish r there and there hungry they will take bait on any rig.well thats wat it think.but ive had some success on the loop rig too ya so do like it.to me a flapper rig is best.me fav is the 2 hook.1 up/1 down.i also like the 3 hook flapper im using at the mo.2 up/i down.have had good success.wat ever u feel comfy with well then u stick to that rig as shambo said

When I started fishing Loops I started picking up Flats on Marks I'd never had flats before. Swear by them now, Coalies and Flounder seem to love that long bottom snood...

can someone post a link of a 2 hook clipped loop rig - do you have to have an SRT spring in it?
