If you enjoy fighting with Dogfish the south beach in Greystones is plagued with them. I have caught 13 in 2 night trips in the last 6 weeks.

To get to the southbeach, drive through greystones heading twords killcoole i.e. greystones dart station on your left hand side, then park up in the 2nd carpark you come to about 200 metres out of the town, its the one with the playground with an arch leading to the beach. And its not a Dublin mark anyway its a wicklow mark :P Killiney and Whiterock are both capable of throwing up a few fish too, but in fairness poolbeg can produce some cracking bass this time of year and smoothounds in summer.

Was out on Kiliney Beach yesterday evening for a couple of hours. Got one doggie. Lots of little nibbles too so am presuming they are small pollack - didn't hook any of them.

Anyone interested in organising a trip - I am not a member of any club and usually end up fishing on my todd.

big silver spikey fish can hit your bait and drop it in a blink of an eye if your holding your rod you can give a little tug and hook him before he spits it out,or drags your gear in the sea
