just wondering wat howth is like for fishing these days is worth takin a trip out???

short answer "no" especially not coming into the winter.. head to the southern dublin/wicklow marks

you still have a very good chance of catching pollack wrasse and coals off the rocks as well as other rock species

Ive fished many places in Howth this year with little results. Bottom fishing Balscadden will get ya doggies, dab, whiting and poor cod. I have been told there is Pollock on the east pier at times but havnt had any luck myself. Will keep trying though. There is some better marks around the back of Balscadden but they are very dangerous to get to so I havnt tried myself. Still saving for my helicopter :D
