Hi,
With the weather getting worse now,but still maybe a few days left to lure fish for bass i was hoping for some recommendations for lure fishing for bass in Clare.
Based in ennis and fishing nearly ten years now i predominantly used fish for pike but the last 3 summers have been focused on bass due to my love for the sea.
My first year went ok and my first bass of 5lbs on September 13th which was a Friday assured me my luck was in,i also finished at a final table of a poker event that night:) so it won't be easily forgot. Last year i had my first and only bass of that summer on a popper ,7lbs, This year however i have blanked Fantasticly, and not for the lack of trying.
This has spurred me on to trying marks i havnt before as i mainly fish along one beach, shoreline which i know remarkably well from fishing and snorkeling. The few marks i have tried have been from Kilkee to Spanish Point, mainly fishing on my own i try to avoid very rough conditions, spots i dont know too well and slippery rocks in wet conditions(broken reels, rods and a near sprained ankle).
Any tips or recommendations would be gratefully welcomed as i would share my knowledge of this particular mark which i have had pollack, garfish and bass on poppers, mackeral and wrasse on lures, and mullet and triggerfish on bait, once foul hooked a flounder too:)
thanks for reading my waffle:)

Hi, have you tried the rough ground between the Inagh estuary (Lahinch) and Liscannor harbour, I've had couple on the popper this year 2 outings 2 fish 3 &3 .5 pounds.
or the small beach just around the head at liscannor I don't know what its called.(best at LW+ 4 fish in 4 outings). good luck

Thanks:)
hoping to try the Inagh estuary along the rocks, seems to be a good spot, have heard its also good for wading this estuary, but slightly dangerous because of quicksand or blow outs, have heard this a few times just wondering if its true, not something to be tried on your own i'm guessing,
thanks again

Don't wade the Inagh. People have been drowned doing this.
