kerry head

has anyone here fished the mark on Kerry head. I drove the way it signposted but the road goes through a farmers yard and becomes a track leading parallel to cliffs.

I fished it once last year. Parked up by the ditch and in fornt of the wall infornt of the house( its a creamy coloured bungalow i recall). Walked up the road a few hundred metres and jumped over the ditch, across the grass to the head. That "road" goes around to the other side but I wouldn't fancy driving on it.

I tried calling in to the house to see what the craic just ot be polite but got no answer. I was driving away when I met a women driving cattle a little further back the road. I asked her and she said there was no bother parking down there. So I did and there wasn't.

Only fished it for an hour with feathers. Got two mackeral and dropped a small pollock on the way up the cliff. Nice spot. You can see down to castlegregory and the maherees and up to loop head and the Shannon estuary.


Been meaning to give it a proper go sometime. Let me know how you get on.
