Afternoon lads,

Ive looked at all the youtube videos and read loads of reviews on it but it doesnt clearly explain where they are and what stage of the tide to get them, im going to a beach on the north east coast tommorrow around an hour before high tide, what time and where abouts would i get them? Il be armed with salt and me shovel in case i need it. Do they freeze well and how long would be prime time to have them frozen before useing them?

You have to wait for a really really low tide. I think there's on in september. Find a spot where there are razor present and pick up a few cartons of table salt on your way. All you need is wellies, salt and a bucket. Walk down towards the water line and step heavily as you go. Watch the sand around you for spouts of water shooting up or just any other type of disturbance in the sand. Pour salt onto the spot where the disturbance occoured and wait. If nothing happens within 20 seconds move on and find another burrow. When you do find one and get it to come out of it's hole, grasp the shell tightly and ease it out. Don't pull on it as the foot can tear off. Hope you get on alright with it because it's great fun. If you have any kids this would be a great time to make use of them.
