hi new to digging worms,got advice last week so had a go in ballyloughane beach in renmore on the eastside of galway.i dug up a few worms just to see how hard they might be to get, before the next trip.the worms were very small and thin and a bronze/brown colour.they were much smaller than earthworms.is this the biggest you can dig this side of galway or are they bigger else where,thanks for any info in advance

you were probably getting maddies - to be honest they are very small maddies there at that - you need to get away from the real mucky stuff near the HW mark and dig for lug when the LW is reached
look for the squiggles above the sand - there are lug there, but i think the places mentioned last week to you on the west side of the city will produce far more lug for you for your effort
