Earthworms for bait

Wed Aug 11, 2010 10:38 am

Did a search and found a few posts on using earthworms as sea-fishing bait. It's something I've wondered about from time to time. The advice seems to be that they work, but die quickly. Would it really matter if they're dead? I'm hoping to give them a try, as I haven't much hope of getting my hands on lug or rag.

Go ahead and use them, i do  . Flounders will readily take them and they can be a good bait on thir day like anything else. I get Dendro worms from the tackle shop as i cant be bothered digging :D . You will of course be laughed at, but when you catch then who will be laughing. :D :D

Saw a young lad catch a flounder on a spoon baited with earthworm just lopped out onto the sand a couple two weeks ago.
