Does any one know if the beaches in youghal or surrounding areas are fishing well

they were about 3/4 months ago. havent been down since. not a lot of help i know :lol:

they are a bit on and off to be honest very bright calm evenings seem to be a waste of time especially on youghal beach i wonder if all the swimmers and other beach activities is pushing the fish off. i think the west waterford beaches are throwing up a few more fish at the minute.

I fished Youghal Sunday night....4 codling and a aload of dogs.

That was town end....although Id say you should be okay on the majority of the beach.

BIg comp held on Youghal on Sat night, tonnes of fish caught in calm conditions. FLounder, Codling, Dogs, Whiting, Ray.....

Southern part Youghal Strand: Flounders and even some hungy doggies on lugworm.

I wonder if somebody has caught any bass out there lately?

as pete said, a big comp there last weekend. 52 anglers in total and not 1 Bass caught. was very calm tho, barely even a ripple.

have you tried any of the beaches down ballycotton way, inch, ballybrannigan etc..?

Word down here is there were plenty showing last week and same this week although strangely enough low water seems to be the key.A couple of breaks off garryvoe last night although out a bit and only small shoals working up and down the beach,ballycotton might be worth a visit if they are off garryvoe.
