Lure fishing for bass in beara

Just wondering does anyone know if beara is any good for lure fishing for bass? The water is quite deep from the rocks at most marks as far as I know, maybe too deep for bass?.Was down there on holidays and caught some pollock which was good fun but maybe down there later in the summer and would like to try and target bass if possible

seems to be a great spot for pollack. heres and article from gilbeys blog about 500 pollack being caught on lures. I would imagine theyd have had at least one bass if they were there. maybe im wrong or could be a case of a different mark for the bass.
enjoy anyway looks like a cool spot.

I think ballydonegan beach on the beara can throw up the odd bass but i don't think many of the spots down there would be ideal for bassing. Cracking wrasse, huss, ray, conger and pollack fishing though. I'm heading for a weeks holiday down there next week and the bass will be the last thing on my mind.
