New to the east coast

Sun Jun 13, 2010 11:49 am

Hi all,

All my shore fishing to date has been on the south coast, mainly around the cork harbour areas. Now im living in dublin was wondering if anyone can recommend some decent marks on the east coast, dublin area? Main target is bass but fish for whatever i can at times, cod, flatties etc.. Took a spin up around rogerstowns estuary last week, any recommendations, tips for here or anywhere else for that matter? Thanks Leesider

most people dont like to name marks on a public forum especaily dublin marks so get out there and fish and find out for yourself were is good and were is bad

Fair enough Shane but its not like I'll be out everynight taking whatever fish are there. I'm just looking for some pointers as Im new to the dublin area for fishing. I have some brilliant bass marks in cork, one or 2 that i found by just trying every inlet, bay and muscle bed i came across. Thing is I have shared them! Anyway, no worried. Looks like ill just have to start fresh up here. Thanks

Thanks for the input lads, I have been trying for bass up around rogerstown lately but drawing blanks. Fishing with lures on the flood but nothing happening. Weed coming in with the tide so tried using poppers...still nothing. Its like been back in cork again trudging my way round the coast for years searching for marks. I feel like a virgin angler all over again!! haha.
