Went to enniscrone pier this morning for some mack bashing and couldn't get over the state of it ,there was a load of empty beer cans, broken bottles, pizza boxes and empty rig packets. . I am just wondering are many piers in this state.
I know there is no bin on the pier and we couldn't find one at the other end but how hard is it to bring your thrash with ya and cheers to the county coucil worker for taken our thrash of us.

On arriving at a mark on Sat I found all sorts of crap and as I was staying over I lifted a full black bag. By day 3 I was returning home with 4 black bags, not all mine. At least I can go back to the place and know the locals wont mind me staying. At another mark nearby the lifebouy has been threw away and its container filled with all sorts of anglers crap. This is attrocious behaviour and with any luck if it was an arsehole angler who done this, he will need the lifebouy before anyone else.

Come to Dalkey during the summer if you want to see litter! Then the locals give you the evils for the rest of the year

How a feather packet can't go into a pocket Ill never know. They're not anglers plain and simple, owning a fishing rod does not an angler make in my opinion.

Snap guys, fished a rock mark last night which is a little bit off the beaten track and there were discarded cooked prawns, feather packets and beer cans. No idea what goes through their heads. Idiots.

Enniscrone is one of the worst peirs for litter. I'm actually reluctant to fish there for fear someone would think it was my mess. We fished Gunwell a few weeks ago and it was a joke the amount of discarded line, hooks and feather packs. It's only giving the anti-fishing brigade muck to sling at us.

if you put 10 bins around some people they would rather fall over one than put their rubbish in it. PIGS is the only way to describe them

true but down at the south wall recently and came across dogsh*t in bags left on the rocks!!!
fkucs sake if ye bother to bag it, bin it!!! also peters park, i think it's called just by colliemore is filthy and one of the few spots that has a bin near the entrance!!! my biggest reason to hate fishing this spot!!! scumville!!
i can understand why the locals hate "anglers" at this time of the year as it's grand out of mackie season!!

blackhead and ballyreen - full of litter from now until november - you could have ten skips down there and it wont cover it

The piers in Wicklow are as bad in Summer....the one with the lighthouse in particular...piss everywhere, cans, bottles, bits of line, hooks and papers and plastic bait tubs....sickens me to be honest.
I asked a guy I know on the council to send a litter warden round some evening in the summer but sure I may aswell have spoken to the wall.
I tend to stay away from piers in Summer for this reason...too many idiots ruining a day out for everyone else.
