conger

hi can anyone tell me here can i catch conger i tried various places like bangor, portaferry, ballywater, ardglass, etc
but just can't get one is there anywhere in the county down area that it would be realitivelly easy to catch one.
it will be catch and release i just need to catch one

were abouts in bangor r u goin for the congers?

i have fished both sides of the pier and the rocks if you drive pass the pier about 500 yards theres a restaurant out the back theres a good mark in low tide the pier was at high tide.

the rocks in side the harbour is prob the best to get them m8 best thing to do is go down at low tide and have a look for some good holes then mark it some how so when u go back u no were abouts it is

any breakwater near you, normally the sheltered side! get a sack of rubby-dubby in the water to encourage them.
best when the mackeral are about! not familiar with your area but most breakwaters should have them. i know arklow breakwaters served me well for years with some biggies! haven't tried there for years but should be still good!!!
