Garfish on the fly?

Hi guys I'm just wondering if anyone has caught any of these on the fly?

Heard that they were good eating and seen a few falling back out of Dundrum Inner Bay on the ebbing tide. We were trying to temp a few mullet when we seen these fish patrolling the flows leading under the bridge and thought i'd like to have a try for them.

Never done it,, but id imagine they would happily take the fly as they have no problem hammering plugs and spinners...only one way to find out

easier to catch on fly than spinning try a black pennel or a teal blue and silver ,strip it hard and fast and you got yourself a mini marlin ,savage fight

Thanks guys, will have to give them a bash!
Are they likely to be around all summer? Was reading about them in the Baltic and they only stay for a short while there to spawn.
