beeping for bites

i know asking this is going to make me sound so bloody lazy, but the truth is that i am. 8)

i was wondering are there any electronic bite indicators out there for shore fishing. they would be so handy for when you are busy setting up a second rod or rebaiting one of them, for when you were sick of staring up at the tip or when some young hot swedish models are on the beach for a calender photo shoot  . i know the sea is probally too rough and they probally don't exsist but i had to ask. if they don't exsist could they work? and if the do exsist WHERE CAN I GET ONE? i was'nt lying when i said i was lazy.

Bigbass get a reel with a good ratchet!! the penn's have a great one and you can 'hear' the fish bite! handy as you say when you are baiting up and aren't able to look at two things at once. also handy for stopping fish pulling the rod into the sea.

Yeah there are ones you can use, similar to ones used for carp fishing. I think there were ones being sold in Lidl not so long ago. If you are using a fixed spool, then you'll need a baitrunner on it to use it correctly. Otherwise as Mark says, go for a multiplier with a ratchet.

something like this, clips on the rod, just loosen clutch slightly so line can move over the wheel - very cheap

I've got a few at home for stalking

Just the ones I was thinking of guest..... :D They are sold on ebay as well. I've never tried them for sea fishing but they are cheap and should be worth trying.

to be honest i've always wanted to start using a multiplier but i don't have a clue how to operate them to there full potential. i'm also really worried about making birds nests, or just breaking it. does it take awhile to get used to them. is it inoying having to reel reel in left handed and (what model was that penn)

has askari started delivery to the rep of ireland. last time i tried ordering they were not that was about 2 years ago.
