Was thinking of trying Torr Head in a few weeks time. I've heard all sorts of things about the mark. Most people raise eyebrows at the very mention of it !!!! Would love a few tips ie exactly how to get to it, how best to fish it, and how to return alive !!!!!

Anybody got a good conversion for the tides ? I'm working on Cushendun, but I know you have a meeting of 2 seas there.

the tide will be about the same as belfast, approx 20 mins before so not to much to worry about with it being big tides at the mo good luck trying to fish it but they'll get better as this week goes on, it'll be like a river running by .
be very very careful if you fall in at this spot your best bet is to pick a good landing spot in scotland

also if it rains its a nitemare getting back up the cliff/rocks as the rock becomes very slippery.

I think you can fish either side of the head where its not as difficult to get to but saying that its much better on the head fishing just inside the tide rips!! Good luck!

Typically Lady luck has thrown heavy showers at Torr Head for our trip on Sunday . The rope is out !!! Are there spots there, that our easier to access than the dreaded rope ? I noticed there's a wee pier there. Is it worth a go ?

the wee pier is rubbish...
if u go 200 yards north of the pier there is a good depth a decent rocks to fish from.
I was at the rope mark when a blizzard started and to this day im still not sure how we managed to get back up

The mark can be got at with care. Sometimes lowering down your tackle first is the safest option at this mark. I just usually bring heavy spinning gear to this mark.
