galway next month???

im heading down to galway on fathers weekend with a gang of me mates for boat trip... the boat is on the saturday morning so most of the boys are going on the beer friday night 
but me an me best mate want to sample thee shore fishing instead accompanied by a few light refreshments 
is there anywhere within say a 20mile radius of salthill that would throw up some nice fishing around this time for maybr ray,pollock etc cheers
