i fish dublin but pop down to wexford now and again.
tides, winds, times all need to be tried and repeated, and repeated! oh! don't forget the moon phases, they make a big difference too. it all depends what yer fishing for too!
wicklow fishes well off the pier and beach, wexford is huge, local advice needed here!

That's really helpful Try Ennereilly just before Arklow or Arklow south beach. These will fish well as it's getting dark. Check your tides here http://easytide.ukho.gov.uk/EASYTIDE/EasyTide/SelectPrediction.aspx?PortID=0611

Or if you want to go a bit further south Courtown might be worth a shot. If you call into Courtown Angling they will give you a heads up on where is fishing good at the moment. As Rusty said locals know best.
