My advice to you would be to fish the Pier Head, which is in the centre of town. You'll still pick up codling but you'll need bait. I presume you'll be fishing daylight hours, in which case I would reckon you should try for mullet. Your spinning rod will be fine, but scale down from 40lb braid. Freelined bread will do the trick and fish the inner cambers rather than the outside of the pier. Good luck.

What Pat has said is spot on and if anybody should know then HE DOSE but what he forgot to say was to call into Trade Winds Bar and Resturant after you have finished to get some good food and maybee you might get to meet a few other anglers .![]()
