is carlingford good for bass and if so what would be the best time of year to fish for them?

Good luck getting a response to that question.

People that fish Carlingford lough keep their marks to themselves. Never fished the area but I think around the Greenore area holds a few bass.

Theres definitely bass in Carlingford but you'll have a job getting information on marks. Having said that I've seen then caught in lots of various spots so they seem to be fairly well spread out.
Try the fishy looking spots and you'll eventually find them. Keep mobile. If you don't pick-up a bass there's plenty of sea trout and in a few months time plenty of macks.
Greenore is macky bashing central. The beach drops off steeply and the shoals come within a few yards of the shore on a regular basis.
