lug worm

hi, again may u lads though I'v asking to many questions,but I'v discover this site and I think is the best place to do that so.does any1 has Idie where to buy some lug worms around eastern region such as monaghan or cavan,drogheda, becouse I never dug them and very little knowledge how to do this, it's seems is one of the best baits targeting most of speases.

Hi Grady, i was the same as yourself up until a couple of years ago i would buy all my bait, but you just can't beat the fresh stuff, find a lug mark/beach and head down at low tide, i find that some beaches can be different, on some you find a load of the lug marks/squiggles and others you will find a squiggle with an enterance mark up to a foot away. Give it a try i garuntee you that you will get into it..

i cant agree more. buy a good fork and get out digging. u just cant beat freshly dug worm. Lug does keep very well so most shops dont keep it.

thanks, lads i'v bough a fork and week ago i went near streedagh beach i dugg for my first time succesfully enough got 20-30 lugs in an hour or so, there is masive colonies of thees beasties. thanks for all advises they worked very well :D

Well done Grady, when you have a minute could you go out and get me about 50 beasties for Friday and post them on to Limerick :D :D :D :D :D Seriously, you cannot beat the fresh lug
