Thanks Damien, sounds a bit dodgy. Do you know of any good spots on the Northside and what side of the tide do they fish.

Hey Murch, I would only recommend Webbs if you're comfortable with the description given by Damien. Webbs is a dangerous place to get to, in fact, so are most places on the south side of Howth  .
If your looking for some northside spots, I think you would be best off PM'ing some of the regular northside posters...dont forget, a lot of guys dont like to make their favourite spots known to the world, so sometimes forum questions may not get the response you want, hence the beauty of the PM.

personally i didn't respond because it's a dangerous spot to get too and getting worse. i don't want to feel responsible. the last time i crossed it i froze on the way back- my legs wouldn't move! never again. good spot but not worth it. casting from the bailey over is safer and you have more options. also the bay to the left at low tide has some good fish and no one bothers because it's heavy ground.

Are you on about Whitewater Brook, the place with the winding steps onto the beach, Mark?
I've wondered what its like down there. From above it seems fairly snaggy except for a clean strip straight out.

yep that's it Wes. dosen't always fish but can fish alright when it does. an overcast day is best. with a long cast you can hit the tide run in front of webbs without the risk. trouble is getting fish back through rocks. i suppose pulley's and weaklinks are an idea.
