tripod info needed

Hi all .just wondering if you could help me out. I'm thinking of getting a new tripod ,and i was wondering if any one has the Ian Golds super match DB1 5 foot telescopic ? and if so how is it .And where would i pick one up.OR any good tripods that you are using or might know of.any info would be great . regards Determined Dan.

hi there. I have that tripod, its well made, light enough, collapses down to handy size, so its easy to carry around. Very stable if you hang a bit of weight under it.

That said, most of my shore fishing is light beach and rock marks, if you do heavy duty stuff in big winds you'd probably need something more substantial. Wouldnt be the best for long rods either.

I got mine locally (Mayo) so any good tackle shop should either have it or be able to get it.
