Did anyone watch the docu-film "the end of the line" channel 4 last night?
Really scarey stuff about how commercial fishing is destroying all sea living creatures,
but the one thing that stood out was the speed at which it is happening.
Even now the largest fishing boats are laid up, they have fished themselves out, nothing else left to catch,nothing....
One of the nets that have been used can hold 13 ..yes 13 boing 747's at its mouth.
Did you know that some scandanavian countries run their power stations on the oil extracted from sandeels!
Oh, bye the way think twice before buying that lovely 4 wheel drive from mitsubishi, they are the worlds biggest buyer
of blue fin tuna , nothing to do with cars.....just money.
If this leaves you with a sick feeling in your guts, I'm sorry but its all true.
If we all want to be on a beach rock or pier this time next year, and maybe catching the odd fish,
then its now that we must voice our opinions.
We can do our bit to let the authorities know our opinions.
Start by reading the "bass being exploited again " on this site;
Thanks. Pete.

yeah i seen part of it, it was quite alarming that the EU allowed such high catch rates of blue atlantic tuna in the mediteranian, seems that the governments of alot of contries are turning a blind eye to this, also seems to be little disscusion on this topic too!
