Roonagh pier, any good fishing there!

Mon Jan 25, 2010 11:58 pm

I took a ride out the other day and found myself at Roonagh Pier.
It was a hell of a day but it still looked magical. Anyone any info on this wild looking venue.
Havn't sea fished for six months and I need a day out.

if its roonagh pier near louisburgh your on about, then dogs, huss, flounder and pollock during the summer, have not fished it during the winter, and mind the swells if you fish the rocks behind the pier it can be very dangerous!! go on out to silver strand and you have a good chance of flounder turbot and dab, from the beach and coalies and thornies from the rocks father out.

as Doggie says I'd be more inclined to fish any of the beaches in Louisburgh than Roonagh pier
