A MODS RESPONSE

Let’s be fair to bokofinn he asked a question in the Q&A so please give an honest answer then after that ye can post the silly remarks best kept for bebo and facebook.

In the end of the day the Mods, even if they have no interest in the topic, have to read these posts to make sure they are sane and legal.

Mods will put up with things going off topic but where a poster is looking for a genuine answer to something please let’s post helpful answers first.

A "jump tide" tide is where the size increase / decrease for a particular tide is slightly larger than the usual increase / decrease, jump tides are usually found about half way between neaps and springs...in the tide table look for something like the following made up example for Cobh on Wednesday where the size increase is .2 of a meter while it's only .1 of a meter for the other days... same goes for decreases in the size of low waters hope this makes sence to you!
