Five Finger Strand is it good to fish on ?

hello lads , whats the best part of the five finger strand beach to fish ? Any tips would be welcome , going through a fierce barren patch :oops: . thanks for looking

just before you come to the strand is the best spot ( the lagg ) park at the bend were the wee wall is. but remember the lagg, strand and isle of doagh is also a salmon and seatrout fishery therefore the fishery officers will land with you to check for your licence.
if your useing beach casters and multi's, heavy line and rigs and such you will be ok, ( no licence is required ) for they will know that your a sea angler. but if they land down with you and you are useing light gear, spinning rods ect; with no licence then your in bother.
also this area is closed at this time of the year for game fishing, but not for sea fishing.

THANKS LAD , IS THERE MUCH FISH ABOUT THIS TIME OF YEAR ? ONLY STARTING OUT THIS LAST FOUR MONTHS AND DON`T KNOW ALL THE INS AND OUTS YET .

to be honest i wouldn't bother with the strand at this time of the year for you will be tortured
with pinn whiting, but you could pick up an odd plaice or turbot and of course the dogie's. another thing, this area has a very powerfull rip on it, so you will have to keep uping your leads till you get the right hold, grippers is a must...
