Fresh Bait on a Sunday?????????? Antrim Coast

Mon Nov 16, 2009 11:24 pm

Last weekend I decided to go shore fishing (the forecast for Sunday was reasonable) for the first time in a couple of years .... but first I needed to get some bait. After ringing a number of tackle shops (late on Saturday) I drew a blank. The best anyone could suggest was Portrush which isn't even close to my planned destination of Glenarm.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to buy fresh bait between Armagh/Newry and Glenarm/Carnlough/Cushendall on a Sunday? Preferably rag. If I'm stuck I suppose I'll have to buy frozen bait which I've never liked.

Damien- Try Larne Angling supplies. I always find him accomodating and good fresh bat as he digs his own and also has boys digging for him. Dont have his number. Some of the guys on here were talking about belfast angling centre- they may be open on a sunday???- I dont know tho- perhaps someone else could advise?

Failing that in my opinion is is either get the hands dirty and dig of head to portrush!!
