Wicklow Harbour... East or West??

I was fishing wicklow harbour last week the old pier, the one with the lighthouse
we didnt catch anything, so im just wondering which pier is the best?

try both, :) high and low, rising and dropping and depending on the wind and moon!
and day and night!!! all will make a difference! :( :)

by the way, why is it east and west? and not north and south???
not being funny,,,, is it cos one sticks out more than the other rather
than opposite each other like Arklow/Dublin for eg. prob a silly Q! :)

Rustyhook, yeah, that's why they are the East and West piers!
Donal - both piers can fish well. Dogs, whiting dabs, sometimes codling and coalies also. Pollack, Wrasse and all sorts of mini species can be got from them too. Have had Gurnards too and even the odd TB Ray.

Using worms, and or mackerel/sand eel should get you most species from them. Dont be afraid to use smaller hooks and fish close to the wall.
