heads up on fishing cork

new to cork, can anyone give me some info on where to fish. first trip out, head to monkstown and had a nice sized bass, first bass at that! been back once and had a small codling and a whiting. whats the best times/tides/bait to fish monkstown?
don't have transport yet, some other marks near cork.
