Sliders or Crimps

What is best to use, or what does everyone prefer to use for their rig making.
As you can see on this pic, your man from moonfleet uses them.

Or does everyone prefer using proper crimps, if so what crimps are good enough.

the sliders look a bit bulky. each to their own though... crimps are nice and neat. stopknots will do the job on lighter flappers.
