fished of boat on some of the wrecks around rathlin ,rue point looks accessable i've fished a wreck about 300m s/e of here and had plenty of pollack and coalies plus some ling ,wrasse are a cert in the summer and the usual conger activity from the harbour (one of the guys i work with dives regulary when inspecting the new harbour and always sees conger knocking around)
loads of potential out there its just a bugger to get down to most of the marks ,the place is surrounded by steep cliffs .

Ronald is right as rue point is very accessible with plenty of comfortable fishing spots. Spent a couple of days on the island a long time back when a youngster and found the main problem to be transport. This may well have changed but suggest you look into this and even consider bringing bikes.
Caught a few lovely wild brown trout in the lakes but had minimal success with the sea fishing. Tried Church Bay onto the sand for flats but had no joy. Made it out briely to Rue pt at the Southern light house and had a 6lb pollack and a couple of smaller ones.
This is a good while ago now but if you got the weather this southern lighthouse area has to be a great mark. Would have loved to have gone back again but chance never came up. Looking forward to your report.
