What a generalisation to make Mr. Pearl!

I have fished a good bit in Portugal, Madeira, Porto Santo and in Spain and can tell you that the experiences you will find are completley different.

I love the comments on this site that are based mostly on a 'hunch' and little fact! Why bother saying it if your not excatly sure?

As regards Salou id get on to the local club if there is one and if not try the national federation.

Now I wonder hows the fishing in Angola these days. Any idea? (And dont say its probably similar to Namibia  )

Sorry FlounderKing. Didn't mean to offend! Just trying to be helpful as the proximity would indicate that similar species inhabit that stretch.

Guilty as charged, M'Lud

Go to the Tackle Shop on the Main street, they can get you in Contact with an Angling Guide from the Area, the Ebro Estuary isnt far away, and It, Apparantly is crawling with European Seaaaaa Bassssss, If you fish the Pier at Salou you'll catch Mullety things, and what look like Mini-Jacks. But I wouldnt bother with fishing over there, Go to 'The Shamrock' or '007' Bars, and If you're in 007 ask for a 'Bomb' :D .
Look out for Street traders, they're ******s

Hi mate thats home for me born outside salou.
Never mind k2 rating about pier( he has a great web site but this my home). The pier as he calls it at the end of the town if same has a metal figure which is for all the fishermen lost at sea.Head towards fontains and you will see it. Forget small wood pier walk abit up rocks and use soft gear and bread for mullitt. Also loads of dont know english but teranos fish bit like jacks yes but like a maceral also. I use fly rod and small loated flies white or yellow. Ground bait with bread and you be there all day. Better fishing shop in Cambrills go to the plasa de la mer and in a side street there it is will give you a free map with all were is fishing. Dont try speak spanish we catalan so a bit dif. You will want to fish Cambrills too walk round harbour to waterwall high side wall at end of harbour use good spin rod and fish bait oily stuff and you will get rays and stuff. Lapanida other side salou is all standerd rock fishing a playa bus will get you to both in 10mins loads for kids wife to do you fish. Contact Barolands pub below Pinns Marina apts on the cambrills road out of salou. He the big man on the ebs catfish record holder and for about 15sterling he pic you up take you and put you on fish every time ask for mark dont want jose costa as he only speak catalan. let me know if you want more i can give you street names to charter boat men phone numers the lot you can call ahead. were in Salou you staying.
