Braid or mono for mullet fishing?

Mon Aug 03, 2009 3:27 pm

I was just wondering what type of line you think is better to use for mullet fishing - braid or mono?
I am using mono at the minute, flurocarbon in fact and I think it works perfectly fine but I have been told that braid is better. Why?
What do you think? Any advice would be great before I go out and buy some and end up not liking it and wasting my money.

Hi Kerry,

Braid will float and present the bait on the surface, whereas flurocarbon will present it sub surface.
