Rosslare Point

Fri Jul 31, 2009 10:41 am

Heading to Rosslare on Saturday. I know that Rosslare Point is a good Tope mark, however I won't have the correct gear with me for it. Does anyone know is it a viable place to spin or use feathers in the day time off the rocks at the point or would I be wasting my time?

Thanks.

I don't know if you would be wasting your time. I've never tried spinning from there. There might be a chance of a Bass, but I'm sure there are better spots about.

I've only fished there once for smoothhounds but when I was there there were people spinning for sea trout and there was a good few jumping also. I've also heard you can get nice bass off it

Great, thanks guys.

I've actually been there before. I'll have the kids with me and it's a great spot for them. There are rock pools for them to play in and sand dunes and it's pretty much enclosed with really only one way out, so I can do a spot of fishing while keeping half and eye on them. I'll have to try for a bass now!

Thanks again.

as for tope its a bit late in the year now for rosslare point, bass are not all that plentyfull there at the moment and the water is a bit murky for spinning with all the rain today and last night.
