Hi there guys,
Just joined this site today. I'm living in Cork and want to know the best places to fish for bass.
I have been fishing for the past few years in cork but mainly for Mackerel, Pollock, dog fish, etc. I've never fished for Bass and would really enjoy catching one but don;t really know where to fish for bass.
I moved over to Ireland 8 years ago from South Africa and really miss fishing back home.
Just want to get some tips on where is the best place to fish in Cork.
Any tips or responses will be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Dean
Have a look at these marks..
http://www.sea-angling-ireland.org/shor ... arbour.htm (marks 5-9)...most of these have bass present at various times.
Also here...
http://www.swrfb.com/fishing/sea/cork.htm (bait locations,rigs,gear etc)
and some others here...
http://thighlinescork.com/ http://homepage.eircom.net/~fishy1tou/local.htmPick a spot...get yourself some fresh bait (rag,lug,crab)...keep the rigs simple, no need to cast to far and fish evening tides on the beaches going into darkness and from low water up in the estuaries and you should be in with a good chance.
Best of luck with it...cheers, rory
