Guys,
I am a very inexpierenced sea angler, just wondering is there any point in fishing at low tide from piers or rocks. ON the positive I am going sea fishing from carlingford lough on the 21st of August and I hope it will be brillant. Will let you know how myself and my buddies get on

piers normaly fish well trough all stages of the tide as usualy they are in quite deep water, a lot of spots fish well from low water up.

give it a go nothing to loose by trying some places only fish well on the bottom of the tide. try fishing the same place at different times of the tide until you find the most productive part of the tide try different baits and traces vary your cast sometimes the fish are under your feet keep a record of your fishing trips in a diary comes in very useful good luck with it and most important enjoy it

hi paddy welcome to the site,try to find rock marks with a bit of depth to them,also look out for kelpy areas and float fish them,and always fish a rod out at distance,you do not need to have a huge cast,50 -100 yds are fine,where are you based?im mayo, and fish mayo, galway, sligo,so if your this side of the country we could meet up,
