Have had good success at Brittas use big ragworm baits. Short casts only needed.

1) Keep your cast short 'cos thats where the Bass usually (but dont be afriad to vary your casting distance)
2) Yep, turn at Jack Whites, Brittas Bay is well signposted there anyway
Hope you get a few for your trouble

Brittas will probably be very busy if the weather is going to be good. So don't fish the main beach...but if you drive along the main road - after you turn at Jack White's drive along the road and you will come to a T Junction take the right and follow the road and you will see a grass "car park" on your right hand side under some trees.
Go across the road and through the little fence and you will be onto the beach. Fish in the corner by the rocks where the stream runs out.
If you go along the same road, up the steep hill (past the car park mentioned above) and on your left you will see a few gaps in the ditch where you can get down to the little strand below. Park up the car and be careful getting down the bank as its along way to fall!!

I'm heading down to brittas for a few days soon. I've never fished it before. How does it fish with lures? Would I be wasting my time bringing the spinning gear? I was thinking of trying the spot at the grass car park that rocker mentioned. I've been down there a few times with the kids and thought it looked a good spot. If anyone knows any other features, marks around there I'd love to hear them.
