as corbyeire said if you want ray head for conemara,i fish a mark here in clifden that produces a lot of ray but i have not fished it too often this year because i am sick of catching ray

trying for new species now
most sessions this time last year i caught 2 ray each session, best session i had was 18 ray
i fished it on the 24 june and caught 2 ray you can see the report here
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=22096&p=170840&hilit=clifden#p170840it should produce ray any time the tide is flowing in or out, best time on Saturday would be from 15:00 to 20:00 on the outgoing tide
its a rock mark fishing in to clean ground
mackerel is the best bait, old frozen stuff works best for me
i use 3 hook mackerel feathers baited with the mackerel and use 3,4 or 5oz leads, the beach bomb leads not grip weights
its a nice handy mark with not too much walking, only 250 m
you could also try the white lady, you can see map here
http://www.cfb.ie/fishing_in_ireland/se ... lifden.doc they say the white lady is best on low tide,i tried it a few times but never had a bite

others on the site did very good there
if you want to try it i will pm you the details and a map,
might even fish the mark over the weekend myself, might see you there
if you don't get a ray at this mark you are better off selling your rods
