http://cgi.ebay.com/Berkley-Fireline-Cr ... 7C294%3A50Have a look at this stuff I have been using it for a year now for lure fishing and pike fishing. Haven't had much problem with it except a few wind knots which are easy to unravel if you are gentle with the line. I also have it well packed on the reel up to the rim with minor problems. It's supposed to be the same diameter as 4lb mono and it casts lure and spinners a long long way. I think that when you first get braid you have to be careful with it but after a few trips it seems to settle on the reel (memory). I wouldn't buy it in any of the tackle shops here as it is double the price (still robbing us).
Check out this knot for braid to mono also it hasn't failed me yet and is very small

Personally my preference would be for PowerPro, I've been using it for a few years now and never had a problem with the stuff. I found it a little tougher and more durable than some other braids I've used in the past, it does loose its colour pretty quick but that doesnt affect it at all.
