Thanks.
I took a run up this morning. Just got two small pollock but the pier was a bit of a mess with bait bags blowing around and rotting weed etc. Is it always like that?
There was some guy there with 4 rods out and a lot of the lidl gear (got some myself) but he had a plastic bin with a four inch wrasse and a six inch flatfish in it. What is that about? Surely there is some kind of legal size for keeping fish like that unless he hadn't eaten for a week and even then...

Its usually not that bad, but id tend to avoid the Pier at night, the beach fishes really well, as for the guy who fishes for team Lidle you get them all the time, be it bangor, portrush or Cobh id say the summer months are plauged with these guys killing tiddlers the same guys have cleaned out some Loughs around the contry.
Ill not get started on that as im in working and im drunk off enough

I try to avoid waterfoot pier at all costs. I completly agree it is always like a rubbish tip. disgraceful!!! There is also a couty antrim rock mark that is dense with rubbish.
It can prove a safe bet someties tho. I have yet to fish the beach will give it a go possibly this weekend.
