Small chest waders needed - where do I get them from?

Thu Jul 09, 2009 3:20 pm

I am wanting to buy myself a new pair of chest waders and quite soon too so that I don't miss out on some good fishing at marks near where I live that require me to have them in order to be able to fish
The problem I have is that I am not that tall, actually I am rather short and any of the ones that are sold in the local tackle shops where I live are all far too big and long.
Some of the Junior waders on sale are too small, I can't win!
I have looked on-line and in some catalogues but I haven't seen anything I think would do me.
I am only just about over 5ft tall (or short as the case my be  ) and don't have very long legs.
Does anyone know the name of anyone who stocks waders that would fit me?
If there is any small ladies/or men out there who where in the same posistion as me that managed to get chest waders to fit them for somewhere then your help would be welcomed.
I don't want to spend mega bucks on them but I am prepared to pay for a pair that are good quality and are going to last me a while.
Hope you can help

For what its worth i was in landers tralee yesterday, they seemed to have a few chesties size8's they looked extra small height wise,i think they were snowbee nylon one's.Not sure of what size you take, but if the chesties in general are too big then what about waist waders. They come up over the hips and i think glasgow angling centre do them[ron thompson/nylon.]

Thanks everyone for your help.
I'll contact Shaun who I met fishing in Dingle once or Emma in Landers and see if they can do anything for me.
Failing that I'll just have to buy a pair that I have seen and walk about looking like I am wearing someone else's waders who are alot bigger than me
If you ever meet me in them, please don't laugh!
