Whats the best bait for reluctant conger.

Mackeral is the most common bait used... But no reason why you couldnt try small wrasse and other rock fish, after all the conger have to feed on something when were not feeding them...

a mackerel flapper is the most common bait setup for conger also heard that whole pouting is very good

dynamite, not really a consideration if you intend on releasing it, apart from that mackerel seems to be the best all round bait, saying that they are scavangers so they will probably eat what is put infront of them.

Iwas advised that garlic flavoured german sausage fished on a flood tide after dark is wunderfull for reluctant konger.Any other unusual receipes?
