Mackeral are a bit patchy still around here. If they're about in numbers you'll take them off any of the piers.

You could try Tranarossan, over the hill from you on the Atlantic Drive. Or Melmore Head, but that certainly isn't easy access.

There's sea trout showing around Ards Friary and Doe Castle, but the licence is required to target them. It's possible to walk/fish Tramore and try them on sandeel too.

The flat rock just around from Portnablagh pier might produce wrasse, coalie, pollock, mackeral, but watch the sea state if you go out on it. (Been fine just recently).

The slip at kerrykeel is always good for a thornback ray and dogs, going into dusk.
