some advice.

im looking for some advice,i was fishing last week for first time in years and had such a good time ive gotten the fishing bug,im going fishing on friday evening in portmarnock to hopfully get some flatfish could someone give me some advice on what would be the best time and what gear ill need, id really appreciate it thanks..

high tide is 16.35 probably best fishing the incoming tide,for bait lug,rag,mackerel,squid,sand eel,razor should work OK
never fished there so don't know much about the place but maybe some of the other lads on the site might what its like to fish

sorry gfkelly1969 was thinking off going out from 10pm till 2am,would i be wasting my time do u think

low is 22.04 so the tide will start back in around 30 mins after so it should be OK to fish
i don't think you would be wasting your time,if you don't catch any fish at least you will have a idea what its like there and know for the next time
some spots fish better on low tide
if you do a search for portmarnock you can see some reports that might give you tips on locations to fish and what bait to use
any time fishing is time well spent :D

Iv only fished there once on a rising tide and got a few flat
