Hi there new to this forum , i started bass fishing last year and out of say 40 trips(in the building trade)if thats what you call it, i caught one! and got two follows on a lure! i fished round laytown rogerstown portmarnock the boyne etc and marks in wexford, cahore etc etc, rising tides falling tides early mornings the lot! fished mainly peeler crab, and the best quality lures ! , and watched the winds to no avail! ive been fishing for years and have caught salmon sea trout and smoothies the lot but the bass are like rocking horse s??? and for anyone looking at other posts about the wooden bridge in dublin all them fish are mullet, and i never seen one bass get pulled in anywhere apart from the five pounder i got round dublin at 5am one hour on the rise around ??????? and that was it ! if anyone would like to give us a few tips i could do with it , or would be up for going to wexford/waterford after the ban there welcome to come along , also i have done a fair bit of scuba diving and all i have seen are lsd and mackerel and small pollock, unlike parts of north wales which was full of them, and they have said ireland is the bass capital of europe! i think they have taken lsd ! not the fish type,i did catch a nice 4lb ish sea trout though

There is alot of Bass being caught around Wexford/Wicklow at the moment, just look back through the reports nearly every one has Bass. From what I know most are being caught on Lug. I'll PM you a good spot that I know is producing plenty of good Bass at the moment.
