we took a run to strangford lough a couple of days ago on a mullet hunt, spotted a few at a couple of spots, hopefully target them sometime soon.

We're definitely gonna try for the mullet this year. I've found a spot that looks very fishy with the potential for both mullet & flatties (& seatrout hopefully!).
There's lots of ducks in the area and a public carpark & walkway so hopefully the mullet will already be weaned onto bread that the ducks haven't scoffed.

The Mullett aren't up to Ards yet as my Apartment overlooks the river......

will keep you posted. I wasn't fishing last year but the amount and size of the fish I saw all last Summer rekindled my interest so will be having a go this time round..

had a bash at them in millisle last weekend, had a hook up and missed it, loads of wee flounders and dabs too, had go with lures on the pier, missed a mackerel which dropped off as i lifted it out of the water.

theres plenty of mullet at t certain county down mark plus flatties and a few sea trout willing to divulge info for some company and help to try and catch my first mullet

A few Mullett now coming up the canal into Ards. These warmer days seem to be doing the trick. Will start baiting from tonight with the net bag.

must get up that area and try it, seems to be a few up there when they come in.
