I went out yesterday and wanted to use a light rod so I dug out my spinning rod. On arrival to my mark I found that the rod tip was broken. It must have gotten a knock in the shed over the last few months. Thing is I love the rod and I want to know is it possible to get the top part of the rod replaced?
It's a Shimano speed master SSM270MH. I've looked around the web but can't find any info on ordering the rod tip. Am I going to have to take the hit and buy a knew rod or is it possible to get the part does anybody know?
Thanks.

how much of the tip is broken?
if it is just a little its easy to replace, you can use the old tip ring again
just heat the tip ring and if it was put on with hot melt glue it should come off easy then you might have to use a bit of sand paper on the rod then when you have it to the size of the tip stick on the old tip ring again with hot melt glue
i may have a tip ring to suit, got a box of different ones awhile back,if you measure it i can have a look

Thanks for the reply GFK and I appreciate the offer. I may have a result though! I have to call a place in the UK that may carry Simano spares.
Fingers crossed
