I use tubing for stop knots and I purchase most of my gear from veals. Problem is their silicon tubing is only good enough for keeping baits stops in place so I use the neopreone stuff for holding my clip rigs in place during a cast. Their Neopreone tubing creates a bulky stop and I don't like using power gum as stops on my rigs. Any advise on what tubing to use?

why not use a stopper knot tied onto your line in conjunction with a small bead before the swivel or hooklink, tie the knot with bait elastic or other textile fibre, easy to adjust and doesn't damage your line, use it since donkeys years with no problems whatsoever.

I don't like them on clip rigs as tubing is far superior.
1. On a three hook clip rig you could have 6 stop knots.
2. Tubing is neater with no messy tag ends
3. Tubing doesn't unravel
4. Tubing stops are in place in a second.
Thats what I meant when I said I don't like using power gum

Have you tried using rubber float stops?
You just slide them on to the line and they hold quite well.

you can get heavier versions of the float stops for this purpose whichh hold better than standard float stops. Fox make them i think.

I use a few turns of telephone wire beneath the bottom tube stop only and holds perfectly even on big hits! Easy to adjust the tension and won't damage main line.
Hope that may help?

try a piece of rubber band, use it for stop knots when float fishing, easy to addjust and replace

I use stop-knots mainly when float-fishing but not when tying rigs. I can not picture stop-knots or tubing being used in rigs. Can anyone give a simple diagram?
