Places to fish near or in Oranmore, Galway

Hi a member of my other halfs family lives in Oranmore and having been there few times now and seen how nice it is and near to the water etc I wondered the shore fishing prospects of the area (an excuse to disappear for a few hours).

Any tips would be handy

most places close to oranmore are hit and miss

better off driving an hour or more west or down to clare - but of course you could blank just as easily there!
